I was a Multimedia Design Intern for RIT's Division for Marketing and Communications during the summer of 2024. Over the course of this internship, I worked on a variety of print and web projects and assisted the university's design, photo, web, and video production team. This opportunity gave insight on the level of collaboration needed to carry out a brand identity as extensive as RIT's. Being able to make a contribution to my university and having projects that will be used beyond my time at RIT is truly rewarding. I am very grateful to have the opportunity to continue working at this division for my final year of college and can't wait for the future of the university's marketing efforts.
Some of my projects are highlighted below. A few of the other projects I worked on that are still in progress include: designing interior branding concepts for the School of Performing Arts, creating new brand posters that highlight imagery by the university photographers, and revising updating layouts for various pages on RIT's official website.
MEDIA TAGS
RIT's photographers and videographers often go around campus to capture events and student life. I was tasked to design media tags for these teams to wear. The main goals were to make them have an essence of professionalism and school spirit, while also showcasing QR codes that lead to photo releases that students sign to approve the use of their imagery.
PHOTO AND RECORDING NOTICES
One of the division's most recent implementations is the use of photo releases to receive official approval from students to use images with them in it. At larger events, it was important to the team to have signs and announcements in a variety of locations to let students know they were entering a space where they could be photographed or recorded. The design below features various brand elements and were placed at RIT's New Student Convocation, one of the first big events of the school year. These notices will be implemented at many campus events in the future.

BRAND POSTER CONCEPTS
One These concepts were presented to the creative team to be used for marketing. The posters utilize RIT's brand assets, photography, and taglines.
