Fusion is a spirited card game that blends mixology with strategy.
My team and I were tasked with creating an educational card game and begin the materials to create a Kickstarter. When researching various card games that appealed to college students, we found that many of them involved drinking, or could be elevated by drinking. However, there were not any that taught you how to make drinks. In an effort to enhance both our design and mixology skills, Fusion was born to help those of legal drinking age elevate their next party/gathering by making their own delicious alcoholic beverage.
Game Box and Cards
The goal of the game is to craft cocktails from the various cards in your hand. Each cocktail crafted from the provided recipe book is worth a certain number of points, and each round is enhanced with various challenge cards. By the end, you will walk away with basic mixology skills and a list of recipes that will help players begin their at-home bartending journey.
The overall branding of this game is inspired by the Prohibition Era: sophisticated and elegant with a modern twist. The logo design is a simple sans-serif typeface with an "I" as the shaker, a nod to an essential mixology tool. Below are marketing elements that can stand on their own but can also elevate the gameplay experience.
