RIT's Student Government (SG) has a marketing team that is in charge of creating a visual identity for the organization that both 1.) is visually appealing and 2.) follows RIT's branding guidelines. As the previous Graphic Designer and Director of Marketing, the main goal was to increase community engagement and outreach both at events and on social media which is targeted at RIT's student body. This collection of work over a two year period shows highlights of my efforts to meet that goal.
SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHICS
A large part of Student Government's recognition on campus comes from events that are open to the entire RIT community. These graphics appear on the office TV screens, on posters across campus, and on our Instagram page. The designs I created incorporate the main and accent colors associated with RIT, and the flat illustrations  pair well with RIT's existing brand assets.

INTERNAL COMMITTEE LOGOS
Student Government has six internal committees that take on initiatives to benefit the campus. In order to establish visual identities for each one, I created a variety of logo lockups that can be utilized for event promotion and merchandise.
APPAREL
Every year, Student Government gives out apparel to promote voting in their elections! RIT's campus is filled with all-brick buildings, and has become such a large part of the school's identity that it has been nicknamed Brick City. For the final design, I had a brainstorming session with the marketing team and our SG president, about what values and ideals were most defining of this group of leaders. By combining the president's campaign slogan with one of RIT's biggest visual definers (their bricks), I was able to create a design that everyone on campus could feel connected to but also had deep meaning and tie to the 23-24 administration.

ANNUAL REPORT
Student Government compiles all of their accomplishments into an annual report. On top of general accomplishments, bylaw changes, and mission statements, every position in SG – cabinet members, senators, committee chairs, and the leaders of representative student organizations (RSO's) – submit the work that they achieved. I had the privilege of taking this full project on.
My goal for this report was to make it visually engaging, while also making sure the information was communicated in a clear and effective way. This was by far the biggest project I've taken on while working with SG, and it was very rewarding seeing the tremendous change we made in just one year. Below are some of my favorite pages and spreads from the review:
