Final Mockup
SG comes out with a set of apparel and merchandise that is given out during every election season.
In the past, many of the designs have either not fallen under branding guidelines or have not been personalized aside from adding SG's logo.
When brainstorming, I began by reimagining some of the campus's most notable visuals (our tiger mascot, an RIT hockey jersey, some of our statues/sculptures, etc). Then, I started to narrow down my sketching just to SG and what their main roles on campus are. This process included mind mapping and word association.

THE REVISIONS
When bringing my sketches to life, I explored many different styles that were not common with other RIT apparel, but each symbol had a connection to either the campus or the organization.
After various surveys to the representatives, these were the top four designs that were voted upon. However, many members gave really great feedback that brought about revisions and one final round of ideation.

THE FINAL SOLUTION
RIT's campus is filled with all-brick buildings. It has becomes such a large part of the school's identity that it has been nicknamed Brick City. For the final design, I had a brainstorming session with the marketing team and our SG president, Darcie, about what values and ideals were most defining of this group of leaders.
Darcie and her VP, JT, ran under the campaign slogan "Collaboration, Communication, and Change", and sense being elected, they have encouraged all three of these ideals. By combining their campaign slogan with one of RIT's biggest visual definers (their bricks), I was able to create a design that everyone on campus could feel connected to but also had deep meaning and tie to this year's Student Government team.

THE MARKETING
Before election season began, members of Student Government showed off this new merch in a photoshoot. Other merchandise with this design included crewnecks, stickers and koozies.
Our president also went around campus and handed out some shirts to encourage the student body to vote in the upcoming election.
